Social Scene. Tuesday October 31st 7.30pm Cottesloe Albion Pub.

All members are invited to join us at the Albion Pub Cottesloe for social chat, dinner, or to help organise some parties and events! We meet on the last Tuesday of the month in an old tram carriage inside the pub! This is where you can catch up with canoe buddies and meet new people and hopefully volunteer to help us keep the social scene happening. Our club has gone from strength to strength thanks to all the hard work of committee members, instructors and volunteers. It is very rewarding helping out at events and assisting with new members, remember how you felt when you first joined the club?! Wierd isn't it! Or is it just me who's wierd?….Ok ok…

Anyway, we have to fix a party or two, some paddle bash rostering, need a few volunteers for Tuesday inductions but most of all we just need your company at some of our fantastic fun events. Check out the web-site for details of past trips and up and coming trips. Especially the camping trips down south! And sea kayaking! Marvelous!

We are also looking for someone new to co-ordinate the social scene. If you think you would like to give this a go we will give you all the support you need! We can chat about all this at The Albion. That's where it's at. Just come and have fun, let's have a big reunion, tell us what you've been up to! See you Tuesday 31st October, 7.30pm on the tram! If you haven't been before you will find us in a tram carriage inside the pub!

Whitewater Kayaking in Borneo (private member’s trip)

Kiulu River (grade 1-2+) Padas River (grade 3-4+)

"I'm trying to arrange a kayaking trip between Christmas and New Year to Sabah (northern tip of Borneo). There is some serious whitewater there and local tour operators that can arrange for all our needs. If you wish to be joined by a friend or partner who is not confident on a kayak, they can still join us by raft. Furthermore, Kota Kinabalu, the capital, has lots to offer (eg., resorts, mountain bike tours, sea kayaking tours, mountain climbing, diving and the best seafood restaurants that I've ever laid my eyes on). Therefore you could easily extend your holidays to include some other recreational activity.

If you are interested in joining me, email Richard at  richardserrano@iinet.net.au  or phone 0400 982 998."
